5 Things To Know before your Cake Smash Session

Cake Smash sessions are truly so fun for everyone, your baby included. Here are a few things to know before your upcoming session that you might have not thought about.

#1- Your baby might NOT want to get messy. It happens. Some littles just don't care for getting super messy, but don't worry we will still be able to capture some sweet moments and can help your little out with the messy part.

#2- This one might seem like a given but I've heard this a few times: but your really probably WON'T want to eat or take home the leftover cake. Trust me. It's been on the floor and baby hands are usually not the cleanest even when we try.

#3- BRING THE SNACKS. Some babes need a little push to start getting into the cake. I love to stick puffs, cheerios, etc. into the icing to help get them going. Don't worry, once they taste the icing is when the fun really starts.

#4- Your little will need a change of clothes after. That cute little outfit you put your little in for his or her images- yep its COVERED in icing. Baby probably won't be to thrilled to be strapped back into their carseat feeling sticky.

#5- Be prepared to clean up- while some do, not all photographers will provide cleaning items for after the session. A trash bag, baby wipes, & paper towels are ALWAYS a good idea just in case.
